The Latin Mass

"The Mass is the most beautiful thing this side of Heaven."~ Father Frederick Faber,19th century

The Latin Mass is reffered to as the "Traditional Latin Mass","Tridentine Latin Mass"or the "Extrodinary Form". Prior to Vatican II it was the universal Mass of the Catholic Church; in the years following Vatican II and the introduction of the Novus Ordo or New Order (the New Liturgy) it since then has been described as the "old" Mass. Today people are still drawn to The Mass by because of its beauty and reverence. The Traditional Latin Mass can be found every Sunday at 7:30, 9:30, and 11:30 AM at St Alphonsus Church downtown Baltimore The Mass is offered daily at Shrine.
